THE INCOUNTER

Avni pov

The alarm buzzed loudly, breaking the peaceful silence of my room. My eyes fluttered open, nerves instantly crawling up my skin. Today wasn’t just another day—it was my first day at St. Xavier’s College, the dream I had worked so hard for I sat up on my bed, hugging my pillow for a moment, whispering to myself, “Avni Rathore, you’ve got this , Sliding out of bed, I went straight to the mirror. My reflection stared back at me—eyes slightly puffy from a restless night, hair in a messy bun. Nothing spectacular. But today, I wasn’t just going to blend into the crowd. Today, I had to prove myself. I quickly showered, letting the cold water wash away the anxiety. Dressing carefully, I picked a simple pastel kurti with skinny jeans. Not too loud, not too dull—just enough to make me feel confident. A dash of kajal, a little gloss, and an small jhumka and I was ready I went in my kitchen and took and slice of Bread and pour ketchup and ate literally the Best !! Since in Mumbai I'm alone and my parents are living in agra it's hard to live without them but it's ok I need to chase my dream Grabbing my notebook and bag, I whispered a prayer before stepping out. “Please, God, let today be good.”

The campus was buzzing with energy when I arrived. Students rushing to their classes, some standing in groups and laughing loudly. I inhaled deeply, the excitement and nervousness mixing like fire and ice in my veinn. As I walked towards the administration block, my eyes were glued to my schedule paper. That’s when it happened.

Thud.

I collided hard with someone hard, almost dropping my file. My heart jumped as my papers scattered to the floor. “Can’t you walk with your eyes open?” A deep, commanding voice cut through the air. I froze, looking up. A tall man stood before me—broad shoulders, sharp jawline, dark eyes that looked like they could slice through steel. His crisp white shirt clung perfectly to his frame and Handsome as hell but the arrogance in his stance was impossible to But then it hit me

Rudraksh Singhania

I didn’t know him then, but the way people around us whispered his name told me everything. He wasn’t just someone. He was someone very Dangerous temper flared instantly. “Excuse me? You bumped into me too. Don’t act like you own the entire corridor.” His lips curved into a smirk, one that held more insult than humor. “I do own more than you can imagine, sweetheart. Maybe start looking where you walk before you challenge people out of your league.” My fists clenched around my file. Sweetheart? Out of my league? Who did this arrogant jerk think he was? “League or no league,” I snapped, raising my chin, “at least I don’t need to trample over others to prove my importance.”His eyes darkened, amusement flickering in them. It was like my defiance only entertained him more.“Feisty,” he muttered under his breath, taking a step closer. The scent of his cologne hit me, rich and intoxicating, making my pulse betray me. “You’ll learn soon. In my world, people like you don’t last long.” My heart skipped at the way he said—as if he already knew me. But instead of showing weakness, I forced a smile.“Good,” I replied. “Because I don’t plan on living in your world, Mr. Whoever-You-Are.”The corner of his lips twitched, but before he could say more, I bent down, collected my papers, and walked away—refusing to give him the satisfaction of my trembling hands. Little did I know, that was the beginning of everything.
The spark.
The fire.
The obsession
